People often go swimming from the banks under the bridge. In the winter when it rains a lot this whole area can be underwater.

A fantastic fairly easy trail along the beck. Some lovely old woodland, part of the Borrowdale Ancient Temperate Rainforest.

Don't attempt in the winter months without good waterproof boots cos it's very boggy but very good walking

Lovely little wood which leads down from below Ashness Bridge to the back of the Hostel
