A very beautiful waterfall. But be careful! The lower part was very slippery, and the suspension bridge with its metal grate was very dangerous for dogs. Their claws could easily get caught in the metal and injure themselves.

In the Molin de Sot area there is the former wood and stone mill, which has now been restored and transformed into a home with great care and with a couple of curiosities: the original millstones have been recycled and incorporated into the external paving; some of the stones of the structure (definitely large and disproportionate) were taken from the nearby Roman fortification, built to defend the Via Claudia Augusta, abandoned in the 4th century AD and completely destroyed in 1510 during the invasion of the Lanzichenecchi.

The 'boale' is a Venetian-Trentino dialect term that indicates a narrow canal dug by water. This Boale was called Santo because it was a true blessing, providing energy to three mills and a sawmill! A leaning and rickety (but safe) bridge crosses the waterfall that in post-rain periods can be very impetuous, among lush vegetation... a very suggestive corner in the middle of the woods.

The Saltòn Waterfall is a hidden gem in the heart of the Prealps, on the border between Trentino and Belluno: the Senàiga stream makes a spectacular 30-meter leap, carving its way through a natural rock amphitheater. The setting is heavenly and breathtaking! At the bottom of the valley, the setting is fairytale-like: the water flows crystal-clear and lively between the high walls of the gorge, with hues ranging from light blue to turquoise; moss envelops rocks and entire trees, creating a fairy-tale, almost surreal atmosphere. To reach the waterfall, you follow an adventurous and steep trail that descends steeply to the valley floor from the Molin de Sot area. The most exposed and slippery sections are equipped with ladders, cables, and metal handrails; you cross three rickety bridges; the final stretch is a narrow ledge over the deep gorge. This is a route marked EE: it's nothing particularly difficult, but it definitely requires familiarity with rough terrain and good hiking shoes. The return journey is obviously all uphill. The waterfall can also be reached from the SP212 road that connects Castel Tesino to Lamon.

The large entrance hall of this cave conceals a deep, dark mouth, filled by an underground stream that is always well-fed, even in dry periods. This is the entrance—reserved for cave divers—to a vast and intricate network of cavities deep within the mountain. The water is actually clear, and it is thought that the name derives from the dark moss-covered floor, over which the stream flows before flowing into the Senaiga. Due to the cave's complex morphology and technical difficulties, exploration began only in the 1970s, and so far, cave divers have discovered a 1,600-meter stretch of siphons and difficult passages. In the 1930s, dye injections proved that this cave communicates with the Castello Tesino Caves, a few kilometers away. Furthermore, an examination of the fine sand found inside, rich in granite crystals, testifies to a significant contribution of water coming from the Cima d'Asta group, much higher and much more distant!

Remains of a water cableway, designed and built in the early 1900s by a certain Isidoro Piasente, to transport wood and lime (produced in a nearby furnace) to the village of Pian Fieno, across the valley. The force of the water moved the lower wheel, like in a mill, making the cable slide around the upper pulley, connected to it.

Possibility to park the car in this clearing. From here begins the path to get to the Salton Waterfall from the Trentino side. The path on this side is not very well marked (follow the blue and red signs) and has fairly technical sections where you need to be careful. Recommended if you have the possibility, the variant that starts from San Donato (Lamon).
