The Princely Castle of Geisa opened its doors to the Point Alpha Academy in September 2011 after a general renovation. The former district court, the baroque castle, the former prison and the Protestant church form the castle square ensemble of Geisa.

Lengsfeld Castle is also known as the moated castle or Boineburg Castle. As early as 1125, Hersfeld Monastery had a castle built in a protected area of the Felda floodplain. It was significantly expanded in the 14th century and became the property of the Boineburg family in the 16th century. At the beginning of the 19th century, the moats were filled in, a park was created and the castle was converted into a residential castle. After the Second World War, the state took over the estate and the castle complex was used as a sanatorium. The complex on the outskirts of Stadtlengsfeld now houses a rehabilitation clinic specializing in psychosomatics.

Tann Castle, built in the Renaissance and Baroque styles, is the ancestral seat of the Frankish noble family von der Tann and is still owned by the family today.

Tann is a place worth seeing and a good place to stop.

The castle and church are reminiscent of Zella's affiliation with the Prince Abbey of Fulda before the change to the then Grand Duchy of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach in 1815. The baroque Church of St. Mary of the Assumption, built between 1715 and 1732, now serves as a Catholic parish church. The Propsteischloss is u. a. the seat of the Thuringian administration of the Rhön biosphere reserve. There are also exhibitions on the biosphere reserve.

Today's palace complex goes back to a Niederungsburg built by Ministeriale in the 12th century. It developed from the 16th century when the three branches of the family began to expand and convert the Ganerbeburg into a castle. This resulted in three palace wings, the "Red", the "Blue" and the "Yellow Palace", which are almost completely grouped around an almost square palace courtyard (Wiki).
