It wasn't immediately clear to me that these big stones were the golden bridges, so don't make the same mistake as I did, looking for actual bridges. ;-) Not sure why they're named as such, maybe they light up gold in the sun, but definitely not on the rainy, foggy day I was there. Still looks really nice though.

A place to get coffee in the mountains is always great. It's not big and the offer is limited, but still a good place for a break. Be sure to bring cash and maybe try to learn a few words Bulgarian.

Worthwhile climb to the waterfalls.

There a few routs to reach this beauty. I personaly live the "red" route, which goes strait up along the river. This one could be dangerous, especially in wet conditions. Please, use the green route in such conditions. It is not very technical, but I would recommend using a trail runners or other hiking shoes with good grip.

Approach winter carefully, it is slippery in many places!

Boyanski waterfall is the largest waterfall in Vitosha, 25 m high.

Small but very nice tour from the TV tower. A bit steep in some places. Also suitable for those afraid of heights.
