Unfortunately, no visits are possible as the castle is privately owned.

Opposite is the Maus Castle

The view of the Loreley rock is beautiful. But if you've ever been up there on the concert grounds (e.g., on the Loreley Extra Tour), beautiful is something else entirely.

But we didn't see a single virgin :-)

This is the deepest point of the navigable “Father Rhine” and it is great fun to watch the captains navigate the curves (drift!)

From the bench on the left, a small path leads a little further down, from there you have a magnificent view which invites you to linger 🤩

A truly amazing spot. I'd even say it's the best on the Rheinsteig. I almost walked past this spot because I wanted to shorten the hike a few hundred meters earlier on the Rheinsteig. In glorious sunshine, I had the view and the rocks all to myself. I'll definitely come back again sometime.
