The Lizarrieta pass is 411 meters above sea level on the Franco-Spanish border between the villages of Sare and Etxalar. From the village of Sare the climb is about 11 kilometers long for an average of 3.3% with a maximum passage of 6.3%.

Summit at the border with Spain, one can arrive as much by road as by paths. The view is beautiful. A faucet and a small hut for shelter at the top

Very pleasant to drive small Pyrenees pass on a narrow road, nicely shaded through the forest. At the top there is a place to stop for refreshments and a bird watching station where you can document that you have observed an eagle or buzzard. Also to Spain nice descent to Etxalar.
