At the castle complex, first mentioned in 1152 and built by the Lords of Summerau, of which remnants of the keep still remain, only a few walls offer a place to rest. Old Castle (Town Hall) Built in 1667 under Count Johann V by the Vorarlberg architect Michael Kuen. Converted into a town hall in 1904 After almost all of the town's houses and the castle were destroyed in the Thirty Years' War - the then Count Hugo took refuge with his family in the house at Montfortstrasse 37 after his return - his son Count Johann V built the simple castle in 1667.
