A curious statue from the year 1916 that refers to a comparative phrase to talk about a person without money: "Come on, you are staying like the rooster of Morón, without feathers and crowing on the best occasion." One of the legends says that the phrase was born from the story of a judge in the 16th century. The judge came to put peace between two factions that existed at that time in the town of Morón. Due to his harsh attitude, he was once taken out of town and left there naked, after beating him up. The judge ran out screaming (cackling) towards Granada, swearing never to set foot on this earth again...

Looking north you can see the Cote de Montellano Castle at the top. It is considered unique in Spain due to its architectural characteristics - there is a similar one in France and another in England. Built at the end of the 13th century, it is a good example of frontier military construction from that time.
