A well stocked shop and pub which is the perfect place for a cycle pitstop. No worries about queues, locking up bike etc.... Bench seating outside the pub with some shade from the trees. Minimal detour even if you're on the lap of the reservoir

Don't follow Komoot strictly (like I did) 😉 - obey the signs from farmer/landowner & NCN signs - small mistakes can be forgiven, I suppose, when we new to the area.

From here you can access the cycle/walking path along the top of the dam which gives great views up the length of Grafham Water.

The cycle path along the top of the dam is wide and flat and gives great views across the reservoir. Reach it from the Visitor Centre at the northern end although access at the southern end is trickier as you have to squeeze through a narrow gap next to a locked gate by the main road.

Pub-in-a-shed. There’s a community-run village shop next to it.

Not very visible from the road, hidden behind a tall brick wall. You can peep through the old gateway or else from the driveway at the far left of the wall.

Tucked away in Cross Keys Mews opposite the Market Square so you need to look for it. Nice courtyard seating area though once you do find it.

I'm using this route on the ride from Wootton to Sandy via Danish Camp. It's got a bit of everything, I like it.

Great peaceful place to make a stop on your ride for coffee or drink.

Set just off the high street through an archway. plenty of outdoor seating and space for bikes. Good selection of breakfast/lunch options and decent coffee... not as good as the Alconbury one though!

Excellent ride not to be missed. Advice. Take care can be a bit slidey but should be no problems for most experience levels

Great off road section good surfaces although take it easy if not experienced as there are a few pot holes.

North West trail blue bell woods

Good cafe usually busy but plenty of space for bikes and a playpark for youngsters. Great crazy golf course due to open May 2023.

Beautiful cafe for a stop I personally love the road it’s smooth and straight if you are looking for some sprint efforts…airfield view pretty nice as well

Nice pub with good food from sandwiches with chips to meals. Good garden and car park with space for bikes. Excellent toilets. Recommended. If you are cycling from the Grafham caravan site its just about half way round the resevoir. Aug 24 update. The pub is under new management but food still excellent and staff lovely. Recommend steak baguette and chips with pot of tea.

Good and nice scenery for a hot coffee you can also have your bike repair and accessory purchases at the Rutland right there. Beautiful place for a visit also a lovely mountain bike trail

Very nice and gentle hill for a sprint be carful at the bottom of some holes to the left try to stay right in the middle and mind cars coming from the corner.

Sharp drop off the edge of the plateau overlooking the Ouse valley towards Great Paxton. Flat out!
