Colle del Crò is a pass located between Val Lemina and the lower Val Chisone. Here you will find a picnic area surrounded by greenery, a fountain with fresh water and an e-bike charging station. Next to it there is an inn that offers typical mountain cuisine, a pizzeria and offers hospitality with two rooms. Not far away there is also a small Alpine church with a typical sloping roof. The symbol of the pass is the giant wooden chair, perfect for a panoramic photo before getting back in the saddle.

Designed by architect Filippo Juvarra in the first half of the eighteenth century, it was conceived as a hunting lodge for short stays by the sovereigns. In the nineteenth century it welcomed illustrious guests, including Napoleon Bonaparte and the Indian elephant Fritz, a gift to Carlo Felice of Savoy. Unfortunately, the distance from its natural habitat drove the animal to madness, unleashing a destructive fury that irreparably damaged the wooden furnishings, signs of which are still visible today.
