Well worth a visit and I'd strongly recommend riding around the entire quarry taking time to check out the huge gantry pyramids and pumping station.

Nantle Valley is well known for its mountains and ridge. A lot of historic settlements and slate mining. Stunning views of Snowdonia. Road surface is good watch out for sheep moving freely and a couple of cattle grids in this area

Maesgwm is also known as Telegraph Valley. The trail is gravel and well-made, brilliant to ride and much quieter than the main Llanberis path. It makes a great loop from Llanberis, using a section of the Ranger. Rideable in both directions.

Near the lake is a stunning place to ride around with stunning views of the mountains. Find yourself in the village of Llanberis for a few hours, Why not pop over to Pantri for a Coffee & Cake? with a variety of different food & Drink options. The barista trained staff have plenty of years of experience which means you are guaranteed a great service in a beautiful setting.

On a clear day, from this end of Llyn Padarn you’ll get an enticing view of Snowdon and other peaks. Its absolutely stunning and well worth the ride.

Check out the electric mountain while you’re in the area, some good walks and the slate museum at the bottom is really interesting to visit.

It’s just ok these days - post covid. It used to be a great place to eat, but seems to have suffered lately

Great views from the bridge at the western end of Llyn Padarn. Look across the lake at the old Dinorwig slate mining and the Electric Mountain. To the right you can see over Llanberis and up onto Snowdon.

Pretty, spacious campsite located by the river. The highlight is certainly the refreshing morning swim in the “pool” by the river. The street calms down even at night.
