The Mulde meadows near Dessau are a worthwhile destination for cyclists. The tranquility of nature so close to the city is very relaxing. Furthermore, the Wörlitz Railway Bridge, the Jagdbrücke (hunting bridge), the Luisium, and many other impressive photo opportunities are available.

A fantastic stretch of route! Beautiful scenery and excellent cycling infrastructure. Highly recommended!

A quick stop for a photo is worth it. It's a beautiful spot.

It's a neo-Gothic castle gate—an entrance to Sieglitzer Park (I've never heard of the Luisium Gate; the Luisium is a good 5 km away. In the 18th century, Sieglitzer Park was fenced in and accessible only through three gates. Prince Franz retreated here when he wanted some peace and quiet.) The park around Luisium Palace, on the other hand, was accessible to everyone at any time.

I can only recommend Wörlitz Park with reservations...Why? I either ride my bike or go for a walk. The latter is only possible in the park (bicycles are prohibited).

The "Luisium Gate" in Dessau is a neo-Gothic brick gate with two towers, serving as a striking entrance to the Luisium Palace Park. It is located near the Orangery and is part of the Luisium Palace complex, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage "Garden Kingdom of Dessau-Wörlitz." The gate was built in the 19th century and its design is reminiscent of medieval city wall gates. It marks the transition from the urban area to the expansive park landscape.
