A Dessau tourism concept: you can rent a room in some historic buildings and spend a royal time. Cool idea if you like something special. I took a look, very simple and attractive. The couple here in the Elbe Pavillion spontaneously invited me to breakfast. 👍😊

The tower-like Elbe Pavilion, located in the immediate vicinity of the Elbe River, is a characteristic example of Prince Franz of Anhalt-Dessau's "land beautification" project. Several views typical of the Garden Kingdom lead to it. As part of the flood protection system being developed at the time, its belvedere allowed one to assess the dangers posed by flooding from the Elbe. Since some rooms were decorated with copperplate engravings, Prince Franz may also have used the house for himself and his guests.
