Even on the approach to Beilstein you have a beautiful view of the town and the vineyards with the castle at the very top.

The kiosk is open every Saturday and Sunday. They also serve pizza at reasonable prices. The eggnog cake is a dream. Delicious drinks or beer, whatever you like!

These giant sequoia trees aren't in Welzheim, but in Wüstenrot! 😳

The castle is not open to the public. Guided tours are occasionally available on Sundays (€10). Dates are published in the press. Registration is required by phone.

great beer garden directly on the Neckar

In Welzheim, there's a beautiful circular trail that leads through the Roman Forest to the impressive giant sequoia trees (Wellingtonias). The trail is easy, leads through woodland and past relics of Roman history. It's well signposted and also suitable for families with children, although it's not stroller-friendly. The trail begins at the "Sempervivum" hiking car park and leads to the impressive trees, which can be seen after just a few meters.
