We expected this to be a covered wooden bridge and were looking forward to sheltering from the rain in it, but alas, this modern wooden bridge does NOT provide cover from rain.

We were soaked to the bone when we arrived, so we didn't do the tour, but it's a neat little place to see, even if you're just biking through.

Even in the pouring rain, this area is beautiful!

Everyone wishing to enter Switzerland at this point must pass through this low and narrow gate. It somehow makes you aware that you are entering federal military territory and that we, as Switzerland, have an army for national defense.

A beautiful old castle ruin, nicely restored. There are tables and benches, and usually firewood at the barbecue areas. So you can bring your own sausages and have a picnic. Great for families.

Beautiful in every season, but of course most beautiful in autumn 🍷
