The Kiental valley is beautiful and very shady. However, I would avoid cycling there on weekends, as many pedestrians use this path.

As Andechs Monastery is called. It's busy on weekends, but quieter during the week. The church is definitely worth a visit. There are also tours of the brewery.

Herrsching has a wonderful promenade along the lake. There's a great beer garden right on the water at the steamer pier. Just be careful with the beer, otherwise the bike ride home will be tough.
