The York-Blücher Memorial commemorates the historic encounter between British General Sir Charles Cornwallis Yorke and Prussian Field Marshal Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher during the Wars of Liberation against Napoleon. Since 1990, the building has been privately owned and has been carefully restored under listed building regulations. The mill is officially listed as a historical monument by the municipality of Silz and represents an impressive example of regional architecture and technological history of the 19th century. Due to its location in the cultural landscape of the Mecklenburg Lake District, it is not only a historical highlight but also a popular destination for cycling and hiking tours in the surrounding area.

An impressive propeller by Mecklenburger Metallguss GmbH (MMG), manufactured for a container ship with 2,400 berths. The propeller has a diameter of 7.1 meters, weighs 31,900 kilograms, and is made of aluminum bronze. It has five blades, achieves a rated power of 24,392 hp, and rotates at 97 revolutions per minute. MMG is a world-leading manufacturer of ship propellers and is headquartered in Waren. The propeller now serves as a technical display piece and is freely accessible in an open space on Röbeler Chaussee.
