There is a beautiful view of the Leine from the bridge. Pretty area with lots of greenery and beautiful cycling and hiking trails. There is a ferry dock at the Maschsee near the bridge.

Attention, if company runs and the like are taking place at the Maschsee: Then you cannot get over the Leine bridges from the Ricklinger Masch, because then you would be on the running track. Unfortunately, the organizers forget to point this out every year on the Ricklinger website and to indicate diversions.

The Eilenriede is a relatively large forest area in the middle of Hanover. There are many beautiful routes for cycling or hiking. I always enjoy cycling through the Eilenriede on my bike tours.

As students, we used the Eilenriede to get quickly from Kleefeld to the center of the city or to the bathing ponds of the Leemasch. Wonderful in the summer when you can sweep over the slippery stretches in the shade. Today, after more than 35 years, it still looks the same as before. The green zone can also be understood as a link between the Leinemasch area and the Lönspark/animal park.
