Great view from the suspension bridge

Beautiful natural pools carved out by Santa Paula Creek into the rock bed of Santa Paula Canyon, with crystal clear water to swim in and a gorgeous 25-foot waterfall.

The trail to Murietta Falls is a very challenging run, with a lot of elevation gain, but it is worth it for the wonderful scenery and beautiful falls at the end. The amount of water in the falls will vary depending on the amount of rain there has been.

La Costa Creek flows down the rock wall forming a beautiful waterfall. The falls are a refreshing spot to finish the long hike through the Ohlone Trail, offering beautiful scenery. The best time to hike to there is early spring, after rainy days, to see the green diverse flora and the wildflowers blooming.

Situated at the start of Wilson River Trail and rich with information of the area, this is a great place to start a run through the forest! The forest center offers a variety of informational guides via interactive boards, a theater, and a lookout tower to learn more about the surrounding area. From here, you'll cross a suspension bridge to the trailheads. If driving, be sure to check opening hours as the parking lot closes when the center closes.

Drift Creek Falls emerges from columnar basalt, roaring in the creek valley.

The best view of the falls is from a 240-foot suspension bridge that hangs 100 feet over Drift Creek. This bridge was built to support logging trucks weighing up to 165,000 lbs.

The Wilson River Trail is a beautiful singletrack that meanders through a deep forest. Expect a flowy trail with a few challenges and serious uphill sections. The trail can be ridden in both direction – though it is easier from east to west. As it is also a popular hiking trail you will likely encounter hikers as well – so ride with care.
