Beautiful, spacious beach with views of the Golden Gate and Frisco Bay

The trail to Murietta Falls is a very challenging run, with a lot of elevation gain, but it is worth it for the wonderful scenery and beautiful falls at the end. The amount of water in the falls will vary depending on the amount of rain there has been.

La Costa Creek flows down the rock wall forming a beautiful waterfall. The falls are a refreshing spot to finish the long hike through the Ohlone Trail, offering beautiful scenery. The best time to hike to there is early spring, after rainy days, to see the green diverse flora and the wildflowers blooming.

Ohlone Wilderness Trail connects Del Valle Regional Preserve and Ohlone Regional Wilderness Area. It is a consistent uphill hike with some exposed areas, and also offers some shade along the way, as it goes through forested areas. Be aware of poison oak.

Nowadays you can relax at the chalet with a late brunch or sip a beer on the back lawn. Due to its longstanding history along the western shore of San Francisco this building was taken over by the US Army and used as a coastal defense headquarters during Word War II.

This trail is nicely shaded and well-maintained, making it a pleasant hiking experience. It features a steady incline, which is not too challenging. Along the way, you'll find plenty of wildflowers adding beauty to the surroundings.
