Beautiful location; wide range of amenities

In no way would I do this with children. It’s high up, exposed at parts, and slightly nerve wracking.

The wide wooden ladders are fascinating, with each rung sawn from branches and wedged into the supports with small wooden wedges. Every step feels different. The ladders stand almost vertically, leaning into individual rock ledges. It's amazing what people have endured. Of course, everything is secured with ropes for us tourists. A short but extremely scenic climb.

Good winter route on a clear day but the extension to Schnydi has lots of steep sections.

Easily accessible on foot. In summer as well as in winter. Very good food and service.

View over the Alpine village of Albinen with a stunning mountain backdrop. Albinen is known for being one of Switzerland's most beautiful villages - perched precariously above the Rhone valley, and near to the thermal springs in Leukerbad.

It's a great feeling in the valley surrounded by rock walls. Particularly recommended when splashing around in the outdoor pool of the Alpentherme in winter.

The thermal springs are within reach: Dramatic and poetic at the same time, the thermal springs footbridge leads a few meters above the stream bed into the wild Dala Gorge. The thermal springs footbridge is an imposing steel structure that leads through the Dala Gorge for around 600 meters. Some thermal springs spring up in the immediate vicinity of the stream bed. With a small cable pull, the warm thermal water can even be pulled up directly from a spring. A suspension bridge leads further to the roaring natural spectacle. At the waterfall that plunges 35 meters into the depths, you can feel the power of the water up close. A real refreshment in summer. At the end of the footbridge, there are three options for continuing the hike: to the waterfall viewing point, to the Majingsee and the Weidstübli restaurant or to the Buljes restaurant (see detailed route description).
