The family is to be distinguished from the unrelated Mansfeld noble family Hohnstedt, which has a different coat of arms. A small section of my tour led directly along the Leine.

Unfortunately, you can't get directly to the water because it's fenced off for agricultural use. But you still get a nice view of the line.

This is a lovely place to look over the Leine. The path is very pleasant for cycling. Unfortunately, I couldn't get directly to the water because the bank was completely fenced off.
