Technically, Lake Nassau is a flood control basin with a permanent water level. The dam is passable, and if the ground isn't too wet, the lake can be circumnavigated with a gravel bike.

For me, this is one of the most beautiful wildlife parks in Germany. The feeding sessions with the animal keepers, which take place twice a day, are fantastic. If you want to take photos with a tripod, you have to register in advance, and it costs extra.

It's amazing how fast these animals can move. You have to see it with your own eyes. But you only see it when they're feeding.
