Monument to the Romanian general Georgescu P. Ion. Another monument that shows the ambivalence of the region's history. The monument was first unveiled in 1937 and commemorates a battle in the First World War. It disappeared during the Soviet occupation and has since been rebuilt. In addition, plaques commemorate Moldovan personalities who were murdered after the invasion of Soviet troops in 1940 and buried in the area.

Monument to the musician couple Doina and Ion Aldea Teodorovici, who died in a traffic accident in October 1992. The couple played an important role in Moldovan culture. The monument was unveiled in 1999.

Another controversial monument from Soviet times that has stood the test of time. Grigory Kotovsky joined the Bolsheviks in 1920 and fought against the Polish army, among others. He was a co-founder of the Moldavian Autonomous Soviet Republic. In 1925, he was murdered in Ukraine by his deputy for unclear reasons.

Memorial to the 58,000 deportees from Bessarabia during the Stalin era (1941 and 1949-51) entitled Train of Pain.

The Railwaymen's Palace, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the train station, is an architectural highlight. Unfortunately, the ravages of time are taking their toll on the building and one can only hope that it will not be left to decay like other gems from the Soviet era.

The lake with the sonorous name No. 3 offers a beach and various sports facilities.
