The Lion's Head Bridge was dismantled in 1992 and rebuilt in 1993 (it's a listed building). This is evident from the approximately 1 meter of concrete in the lower section. It was necessary because the clearance height was insufficient due to electrification in the 1980s, and the track was lowered, often flooding during rain. It was my construction site in 1993. It's a great place to visit! Regards, EO

The Schützenhaus is a very nice photo subject. Today it serves as a venue for celebrations and events of all kinds.

St. George's Church is the tallest building in Grabow and is located in the middle of the historic old town. It is a Gothic brick building that was first mentioned in 1291. The church tower with a gable roof, two Gothic, decorated stepped gables and a pointed roof turret with a lantern is unmistakable.

Not only the town hall but also the small harbor is very beautiful. But if you ride a gravel bike or a racing bike or don't have good suspension in general, it's better to push, almost everything in the center of Grabow is cobblestone.

Grabow is a beautiful town with a great historical core. The center is the town hall. Is worth a detour.

The Löwenkopfbrücke is a bridge over the Berlin-Hamburg railway near Streesow. The listed bridge from the early days of the railways, built in 1846, is one of the oldest bridges over railway lines, possibly even the oldest surviving bridge over railway lines in Germany.

The town of Grabow is located on the Elde in the southwest of Mecklenburg about 40 km southeast of the state capital Schwerin. The city center is located about seven kilometers southeast of the city of Ludwigslust and about seven kilometers northwest of the state border with Brandenburg. It is worth visiting the old town. A lot has already been restored, but there is still a lot to do - but that too has its charm and is worth seeing. The area around the city is very wooded, around 2,500 hectares of the urban area consist of forest. The Old Polish name contains the noun grab, which means beech or hornbeam. The name occurs more frequently in Mecklenburg. It was only slightly changed as Grabowe (1186, 1252, 1275) and Grabow (1189, 1298). After the political change, the historic town center of the half-timbered town with the town hall (1997/98) was fundamentally renovated as part of urban development funding. In 1995, inter alia the harbor wall, until 1998 the town hall was renovated. In 1999 a pedestrian bridge was handed over over the Müritz-Elde-Wasserstraße, and in 2001 the new Rehberger Bridge was built as a lift bridge. Until 2010, the western old town could be built on, partly on a former factory site. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grabow_(Elde)
