The Cross Canal in Schwerin Palace Gardens is one of the most impressive design elements of the historic park surrounding Schwerin Palace. Today, the Kreuzkanal (Cross Canal) is one of the most popular spots in Schwerin Palace Gardens. It invites visitors to linger and stroll, while also offering a vivid impression of the Baroque garden design that is still preserved and cultivated in Schwerin.

Today the castle ensemble belongs to the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and is used by, among others, an art association and the State Office for Monument Preservation.

Riding bicycles in the castle gardens is prohibited. Even pushing bicycles is prohibited there. You can park your bikes at the bus stop. Or at the cafe. Why someone here is copying and pasting 8 times and thus posting 8 tips is anyone's guess.
