Right at the edge of the forest, on the path along the railway tracks, stands this old oak tree, a natural monument... Next to the oak tree is a rustic seating area that invites you to linger and rest. An information board provides historical information and explanations about the tree's history... Approximately 375-year-old oak tree. A natural monument. It is named after the village of Meßfeld, which existed on this site until around 1400. Unfortunately, the paths here aren't particularly scenic.

There are several places from which you can enjoy a fantastic view of the “Inheidener See”.

The idyllic area on the Horloff has rightly been named Hungener Schweiz.

The Inheidener See is one of the lakes in the Wetterau Lake Plateau, the tour route of which is right on our doorstep. The ✅🚲—tour, the paths are flat and almost 100% paved and car-free

the side of the lake, the Trais Horloffer side is the one with the nicer lawns and the nicer access to the lake
