High atop Pinnerberg Mountain stands the Pinner Cross, a vantage point offering a magnificent view of the Moselle Valley. Its name comes from a shepherd who, while saving one of his lost animals from a fall, lost his life in the process. The cross was erected in his memory. The view of the town of Cochem with its Reichsburg Castle and the entire Moselle loop is impressive.

The cross is approximately 18 meters high and consists of a cross spire, a shaft, and a base. High up on the Pinnerberg, which is easily accessible by the Cochem chairlift, stands the Pinner Cross, a vantage point with a magnificent view of the Moselle Valley. 🏰Eltz Castle is a hilltop castle from the 12th century. It is located at 129 m above sea level in the Elz valley🌊. With its eight residential towers up to 35 meters high, its bay windows, roofs, half-timbering and spires, it is the epitome of a knight's castle for the spontaneous observer.⚔️ It sits majestically in a side valley of the Moselle near Mayen. This imposing sight even adorned the 500 DM note for several decades.

Eltz Castle is located at a height of 129 meters as a hilltop castle on a rocky spur in the Elz Valley. It was built around 1157.

In the third Deutsche Mark series of banknotes, the 500 DM banknote bore an image of Eltz Castle on the back. 40 pfennig stamp

Very beautiful bridge over the Elzbach in Monreal. The bridge is the middle of three historic stone bridges in the town. On the bridge is the impressive sight from the 15th century, the Lion Monument. The four lions carved in basalt are among the most important monuments of their kind in the Rhineland due to their uniqueness. On the other side of the bridge is the statue of John of Nepomuk, who also gave the bridge its name "John's Bridge". Beautiful!
