The Mainz South Bridge (also known as the Mainz-South Railway Bridge, and at times as the Mainz-Gustavsburg Railway Bridge) is a railway bridge on the Mainz–Frankfurt railway line, spanning the Rhine at river kilometer 496.4 and connecting Mainz in Rhineland-Palatinate with Gustavsburg in Hesse. A footbridge attached to the north side of the bridge allows pedestrians and cyclists to cross the river.

The castle and the view of the river are beautiful, and the adjacent castle park is wild and romantic.

The keep has been preserved and can be climbed. The upper (narrow) section is a bit dark, but the climb is worth it!

The Biebrich Castle, one of the most important baroque castles along the Rhine, is located directly on the banks of the Rhine in the Biebrich district of Wiesbaden. Biebrich Palace was the baroque residence of the princes and later dukes of Nassau on the banks of the Rhine in Biebrich

The customs tower was built around the year 1000 as a pass barrier on the road between Mainz and Bad Kreuznach! The name goes back to a legend of Saint Ursula of Cologne! On her way back from a pilgrimage to Rome, she crossed the Selz here with her entourage of 11,000 virgins. In the hope that another 11,000 virgins would follow the same path, the Schnorressänger from Elsheim took over the sponsorship in 2006.

One of the postcard attractions in Wiesbaden is located directly on the Rhine in the district of Biebrich, the Biebrich Castle. The baroque residence was built in 1701-1703 as a residential palace for the newly ennobled Prince Georg August Samuel von Nassau-Idstein, modeled on the Palace of Versailles. The southern bridge serves the Rhein-Main-Bahn from Mainz via Darmstadt to Aschaffenburg and the Mainbahn running south of the Main from Mainz to Frankfurt (Main) Hbf, on which the S 8 line between Mainz, Frankfurt (Main) Airport and Frankfurt also runs. After the Roman bridge and Charlemagne's Rhine bridge, which burned down shortly after its completion, the southern bridge in Mainz from 1862 was the first fixed Rhine bridge in Mainz, which until then only had a ship bridge. At the same time, it was the fourth railway bridge over the Rhine after the Waldshut–Koblenz bridge on the Upper Rhine, the Kehl bridge and the Cathedral bridge in Cologne. While today it connects two federal states - Rhineland-Palatinate on the left bank of the Rhine and Hesse on the right bank - both banks belonged to the Grand Duchy of Hesse or the People's State of Hesse at the time of construction and up to 1945, to its left bank of the Rhine province of Rheinhessen and to its right bank of the Rhine province of Starkenburg .

Biebrich Castle has a beautiful park ⛲ with old 🌳 inventory, Mosburg, including a stream of the Mosbach which has been completely renatured, much more and of course all the parakeets 😂😂😂 that have settled in the Wiesbaden area.
