The Rengg Chapel is located above Hergiswil on the historic route over the Rengg Pass. It was likely built before 1784 and has been renovated several times since. The small chapel dedicated to Mary serves as a contemplative resting place for hikers. Its simple architecture and tranquil location lend the place a special, historic atmosphere.
