The cathedral in Sankt Blasien is a domed building in the early classical style and with a diameter of 36 meters and a height of 62 meters it is the largest of its kind north of the Alps. The path behind the gate was renewed on August 2nd, 2021! So we had to walk a few hundred meters further on the road - but one day later it was free again!

'Official' start of the Jägersteig. If you start from here and take the recommended counter-clockwise direction, you will have the 'difficult' part of the first half of the way where you have to overcome the altitude difference. The second half of the climb is not a real climb, but goes very comfortably along the lake.
