Next to the dam is a large parking lot where you can park for free. You can reach the ship landing stage and the kiosk via the dam wall. Besides boats, you can also rent bicycles here.

The Amalienruhe, an idyllic vantage point on the Schluchsee shore, enchants with a beautiful lake panorama. A romantic "Bellevue Pavilion" was built on this characteristic rocky outcrop when tourism at Schluchsee was still in its infancy. The Amalienruhe is located directly on the circular lake trail and rewards all hikers and walkers with an impressive all-round view of a wonderfully harmonious Black Forest landscape.
