A detour to the Kraftstein ruins is definitely worth it. There is a small model of the castle, an information board, a bench and even a small remnant of the wall. The further descent is actually not worth it (see Turbo dated December 27, 2022).

The Lengenfels Castle Remains refers to the site of the abandoned Lengenfels Castle near the municipality of Bärenthal in the Tuttlingen district in Baden-Württemberg. The Spornburg castle site is located around 1,100 meters south-southeast of the parish church of Bärenthal in a hilly location at 800 m above sea level. Beautiful refuge in front of the bridge to the former castle complex. There is a castle book in the refuge. The facility is now quite overgrown. There are no remains of the wall, only information boards.

From the parking lot it goes uphill for a short while and then you reach the first cave, a little further you come to the passage cave, which you have to go through to get further uphill to the ruins of Lengenfels.
