Little clever shit about the superlatives from what I've read: Burghausen Castle is the longest castle in Germany and even the world. After Ehrenbreitstein, Rheinfels is the largest castle/fortress on the Middle Rhine

We are on the left bank of the Rhine from Wiesbaden to Sankt Goar and on the way back on the right bank of the Rhine back to Wiesbaden. The really nice part of the tour only starts from Bingen. The one-time over the Schiersteinerbrucke and allotment gardens is the worst part of the way and is also covered with gravel. But it is only a small part of the way, otherwise great cycle paths and also easy to ride on a racing bike. A great tour

Beautiful sight

Rheinfels Castle is the largest surviving castle ruin on the Rhine. Although time has left its mark on the walls, you can still imagine what the magnificent fortress must have looked like. Part of the castle is now a museum where you can learn about the interesting history of the place. The Rhine loop between Boppard and Osterspai is beautiful and the cycle path on the left bank of the Rhine is very well developed.

Great castle with a beautiful view. Admission currently costs 6 euros. The underground passages can only be visited if you take a guided tour.

Nice old town, but the Rhine towns all seem pretty dusty. The great shine seems to have passed, a noticeably few houses have been renovated.
