Good food and nice service / possibility to sit outside

There is only such a quaint rest area in the Palatinate Forest: with a shelter hut belonging to the Palatinate Forest Association (from 1913), several seating groups (with tables) and two old oaks; the third oak in the bunch apparently had to be felled. Several new oaks were planted for this. And everything is neatly fenced with wooden stakes.

Unfortunately, I cannot make a recommendation, a tourist magnet for bus travelers or people who like to drive directly in front of the restaurant. Long waiting times and food, well ... room for improvement.

Schnitzel always works ... Super tasty and with on-site testing, visiting the 🍻 garden is no problem!

Hikers' parking lot at the 3 oaks is the starting point for many great hikes Hausen, Hardenburg, Wachenheim, Seebach are nearby places. The Poppental leads to Wachenheim, the Eppental towards Hausen and Hardenburg. If you walk towards Hammelstalbrunnen, sooner or later you will end up at Lambertskreuz .... one of the largest PWV huts in the area.

Until now, I had completely overlooked a small fountain there (because the hut and the food there are just so great): The small Wolfsbrunnen (right next to the benches of the hut) has an old name stone and 3 small fountain basins from which the water flows from top to bottom - into the Breitenbach.
