There are no extremes, that's what Verden is all about. A city in constant development. But never hectic. With foresight and a sense of proportion. Not too big. Not too small. You meet. You know each other. People still chat with each other. Despite being close to the big city, it has retained its very own character. Verden is located in the Middle Weser region on the Aller river, immediately before it flows into the Weser. As a center of horse breeding and equestrian sport, it is nicknamed the “Equestrian City”. Another famous building in Verden is the Verden Cathedral. It was consecrated in 1490.
