This area is absolutely recommended. One of the most beautiful places on the Aller for me. The journey via Osterloh is not recommended. Lots of cobblestones and only sandy stripes on the edge. From Bockelskamp you can reach the water stairs via a gravel bicycle path. The reason for converting the surrounding area (renaturation) was to restore a natural river landscape in the area of the Allerwehr. So to speak, a new, additional riverbed was created with a fish ladder and connection to an existing, old Allerarm. The course of the Aller cycle path was changed in this area through renaturation. With the Raugerinne, the “Theewinkel” oxbow was reintegrated into the Aller watercourse. This promotes both the structural and ecological objectives of the Water Framework Directive and the conservation objectives of the EU's Fauna-Flora-Habitates Directive.

This section of the cycle path is located between the former Osterloh weir and the village of Bockelskamp in the Flotwedel collective municipality. It's worth taking a break in the grass not only at the "new" renaturalized weir, but also here between the river and the cycle path! ATTENTION: This section is not accessible during floods!
