The Erzgrube Nagold Dam serves as flood protection in the Upper Nagold Valley. With a total length of 2,850 meters, a width of up to 250 meters, and a maximum depth of 35 meters, it is one of Baden-Württemberg's largest water reservoirs.

The long loop is approximately 6 km. If you take the shortcut over the bridge, it's approximately 4 km. The entire route is paved. You can stop for refreshments halfway through at Seeheimer or at the Seekiosk in Erzgrube.

Beautiful local recreation area with playground and barbecue area by the lake. Now in summer, however, the water level is extremely low and swimming is prohibited.

The plank path over the moor and the Wildsee are an absolute top highlight. I always fall in love with the panorama. Even better off-peak.
