The Zavelstein hiking lodge is a popular starting point for hikes and bike tours. In spring it is surrounded by wild crocuses - in summer, green meadows surround the hiking lodge. At this crossroads of many hiking trails there is a large clearing with a shelter. From there there is also a line of sight down into the valley.

It is approx. 2 km to the Sommerberg cable car and the "five trees". So there is less hustle and bustle here. There are some places to rest and even some views. There is also a small shelter here for emergencies. A nice place!
