The Calmont is a prominent peak on the Moselle. The highest elevation is 380 meters high. Interestingly, the Calmont summit cross is not at the highest point, but below it. The extensive Moselle valley with the Moselle loop, folds of the Rhenish Slate Mountains, changing woodland, and distant views of valleys to the north awaken the senses of young and old. Different mosses enliven the views of the path edges and windbreaks in the adjacent forest.
