The GDR road race championships took place on the circuit around Gersdorf in 1961 and 1970

Just a few meters from the road, at the northeast end, you can even ride your racing bike to the "beach" to cool off.

A great option for getting back to Dresden if you don't want to deal with heavy traffic near a big city and want to return by train. The stop is single-track, and you can roll (slowly!) all the way to the platform.

This replica of the Electorate of Saxony postal milepost stands in front of the Pulsnitz shooting range (the original inscription block and coat of arms from 1731 are in the town hall).

In front of the Schützenhaus there is a sandstone post mile post. It is a copy of the original post from 1731, erected in 2005. It was originally located in front of the Obertor on what is now Julius-Kühn-Platz near the Löwen-Apotheke. The original block of writing from the old post mile post has been restored and is located in the town hall entrance.
