聖マティアスは、イエスの弟子たちの最も近い円周にいた12人の使徒の一人ですが、他の使徒たちとは異なり、イエス自身によってこの職に任命されたわけではありませんでした。ユダ・イスカリオテによるイエスの引き渡し、そしてそれに続くイエス・キリストの十字架刑と復活の後、残った11人の使徒たちは聖霊を求めて祈り、新しい12人目の使徒を選びました。くじはマティアスに当たりました。これは新約聖書の「使徒言行録」に記されている通りです（使徒言行録1章15-26節）。彼の記念日は5月14日ですが、ドイツ語圏では2月24日です。彼はトリーアの聖マティアス・ベネディクト会修道院に埋葬されており、アルプスの北側にある唯一の使徒の墓であり、聖マティアス兄弟団（SMB）の多くが定期的にそこへ巡礼しています。

Stade Island Open-Air Museum Celebrates 100 Years of the Stade Island Open-Air Museum The open-air museum on the island in Stade is a historical ensemble of relocated half-timbered houses, a windmill, and a grand gateway, showcasing life in the Altes Land region. It is open year-round and free of charge. Located on the site of a former fortification, it is idyllically surrounded by water and ideal for families to experience culture and history. During the season (May-September), the Altes Land House and the restaurant are open, while the grounds themselves are always accessible. The museum features: Historic buildings, an Altes Land farmhouse (1733), a post mill, a grand gateway, and outbuildings.

https://www.museen-stade.de/freilichtmuseum The Stade History and Local Heritage Association, in cooperation with the Stade Museum, has created a historic Altländer Garden with flowers, herbs, and a kitchen garden. A visit is highly recommended 😃. The event is located on Stade Island.
