The “Florida Valley” is one of many forest areas that were created as part of the “Harbkesche Wilde Baumzucht”. In addition to native trees, primarily North American trees were planted in the once swampy valley. These included, for example, plane trees, tulip trees, American walnut trees and various types of maple trees. In the mid-1990s, a nature trail was set up in the Florida Valley through the provision of funds by the Oschersleben district. A total of 11 boards along the hiking trail provide information about the local flora and fauna. From songbirds, frogs, coniferous and deciduous trees, mushrooms and sleeping mice to birds of prey and owls, you can refresh your knowledge here.
