Great scenery and very nice cycle paths

During Advent there is a cozy Christmas market on the market square.

This bridge is truly a force to be reckoned with and a masterpiece of its time. I was really surprised when I drove over this bridge.

Natural river sections where the Lauterach can meander freely. Beautiful in all seasons.

Hoi Bridge The most impressive structure on the entire Amberg – Lauterhofen railway line is certainly the five-arched Hoi Bridge, a masterpiece of railway engineering at the time. It was built in 1902/03, mainly by Italian and Croatian construction workers. The bridge is 82 meters long, 3.70 meters wide, 18 meters high and has four pillars made of local stone. It was renovated in 1995/1996 and since then a cycle path and a cross-country ski trail have run over it in winter. The renovated bridge is the pearl of the Schweppermann cycle path. The Lauterach Valley is a very quiet place. The water is clear. From Mühldorf to Lauterhofen, the cycle path always runs near the water.

A beautiful round from Amberg Dultplatz to Schmidmühlen in the Lauterachtal (one of the most beautiful valleys I know) to Kastl. A must stop at the Land-gut-Hotel. Beautiful beer garden and super good food. (Tuesday rest day) Continue then via Ursensollen back to Amberg. About 72 km. No problem with e-bikes. just did the tour on July 6th. Unfortunately, the route is closed shortly before Amberg due to renewal of the cycle path. The detour goes via Gaihloh and is not signposted.
