If you just want to walk a few meters in the beautiful nature, everything is right here... unfortunately the inn was closed... but the weather and the nature were perfect 🙏🦊

Wonderful vantage point with a bench. Further ahead - towards the edge of the rock - there is another small summit cross.

Beautiful cross and an additional highlight on the Mühlkoppe.

I find the Mühlkoppe even more beautiful as a vantage point and photo spot than the Hohle Fels. The energy on the Mühlkoppe is so peaceful. In contrast to the High Rock, there was no one there. There is a summit cross and a bench with the best view of the opposite peaks and the valley to Pommelsbrunn. A few meters further along the path there is a second bench. I will certainly visit the Mühlkoppe again soon. That's how she impressed me.

Rothenberg Fortress is a former fortress on the 588 m high mountain of the same name. Access is only possible with a guided tour, but this is worthwhile and takes about 35 minutes. From the fortress you have a great view of the surrounding area and of more distant places, e.g. the wind turbines in Schweinfurt, 122km away. Unfortunately, the circular route offers hardly any views of the fortress and no view either. Just let your mind wander... In winter, hiking sticks or various other sticks can make the ascent and descent much easier.

A fantastic view invites you to linger. There is also a bench here and offers a place to rest.
