You can buy tickets from a ticket machine in the ferry house. You would need a credit card with a PIN for this, or pay in cash on the ferry, which I read too late. So I went back by bike and got my credit card. The departure times were given on the internet in the main season on the hour or 20 minutes after. I must have caught two unfavorable times, so I had to wait 45 minutes there and 1.5 hours back. The island itself is beautiful and the beach right next to the ferry terminal is recommended. The bathing beach at the northern end is more of a pebble beach, but very nicely situated.
