The Baroque church on Bécsi Kapu Square was built between 1716 and 1732 according to the plans of Márton Athanáz Wittwer. The church is open: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 7:30 – 11:00 and 16:00-17:30 (until the end of the evening mass on Saturday); Sunday 8:30-12:00 and 16:00-18:00.

The town hall building was built between 1896 and 1900 based on the designs of Jenő Hübner. The town tower, reminiscent of the former Győr Fire Tower, is 59 meters high. The main facade features the Baroque coat of arms of the city of Győr carved in stone (the figure of Saint Stephen the martyr with wavy lines symbolizing the Danube-Rába-Rábca rivers).
