A beautiful castle, picturesquely situated in a park-like setting and surrounded by moats, which gives it the name "water castle". It is a Renaissance building, built in the 16th century. The architecture of the castle as well as the surrounding landscape make it a popular destination for visitors interested in history and architecture.

The section of the route between Velden and Moosen is very well developed and also very flat. If you want, you can go very quickly here. The only thing that slows you down a little are the crossing roads, as cyclists always have to give way. There is also an intersection near Oberbabing that slows down bicycle traffic by putting up barriers/chicanes...

On April 28, 1945, the Mühldorf concentration camp was evacuated, the approximately 2,000 surviving concentration camp prisoners were crammed into freight wagons and transported away, only the terminally ill were left behind in the forest camp.
