There is only such a quaint rest area in the Palatinate Forest: with a shelter hut belonging to the Palatinate Forest Association (from 1913), several seating groups (with tables) and two old oaks; the third oak in the bunch apparently had to be felled. Several new oaks were planted for this. And everything is neatly fenced with wooden stakes.

The Rahnenhof is named after its last owner among the Leiningen counts, namely Johann Jacob Rahn (1744 – 1816). After his death, the (previously named) "Ludwigshoff" was given the name "Rahnenhof". The Ungeheuersee in the Leininger Sporn, part of the northeastern Palatinate Forest, is a shallow pond that is fed by the Krumbach. The lake has been protected as a natural monument since the 1930s. It has been listed in the official register since 1971 with the list number ND-7332-195. Hikers' parking lot at the 3 oaks is the starting point for many great hikes Hausen, Hardenburg, Wachenheim, Seebach are nearby places. The Poppental leads to Wachenheim, the Eppental towards Hausen and Hardenburg. If you walk towards Hammelstalbrunnen, sooner or later you will end up at Lambertskreuz .... one of the largest PWV huts in the area.
