To mark its 20th anniversary in 2013, the Elsterschloss-Gymnasium Support Association commissioned the creation and installation of an art installation on the grounds of the present-day Elsterschloss-Gymnasium. As part of the "Art at the Castle" project, a bronze casting model of Elsterschloss Elsterwerda was created. Very nice castle with a great park and some ancient trees.

At this point, the Black Elster cycle path is not paved. It runs along a narrow embankment. Beautiful, but very narrow with oncoming traffic and pedestrians to be overtaken.

In addition to the Spreewald feeling, this is the imposing fork weir Zabeltitz. Has existed since the beginning of the 15th century and today divides the Röder into three branches.

The Elsterschloss-Gymnasium is a school in the southern Brandenburg town of Elsterwerda in the Elbe-Elster district. Founded in 1858 as a teacher training college, the educational institution is located on the grounds of Elsterwerda Castle, which was built in its present form in the 17th century. Located directly on the Schwarzen Elster, it is currently one of the best and most beautiful schools in Germany according to surveys by the Unicum Abi magazine from 2003 and 2006.
